Line for me becomes a metaphor for how we experience our internal spiritual world in a world of form. Using a combination of gestural and contour line, I translate elements of the natural world into a place of imagined passages.I use line to show how our eyes visually travel through space picking up edges of contours and traversing across surfaces where it transforms into an expression of energy and emotions by gesture, color and weight. I describe my artwork as depicting a sense of Place and the energy in the world around us.I am fascinated by how we interact with our environment and create our own sense of Place.
